All dishes are absolutely delicious Chinese dishes with a boss from Hong Kong .Must arrive here if I come to visit Amsterdam future. Sharing food is good culture for Chinese eating style , casual , happy.
Have been looking for a great Chinese spot since I moved here 9 years ago and THIS IS IT! It’s a simple restaurant that feels very authentic. Food is great, they have a diverse menu of Dim Sum and the Peking Duck is their speciality. Most portions are big enough for two to share which makes the prices pretty reasonable for Amsterdam. Friendly and speedy service, recommend to book ahead as it fills up very quickly.
Visited here after many recommended. The food was above average in general. The perking duck was to die for!! The sweet and sour was very nice, however the dumplings (fried and steamed) were really really average.
Atmosphere was ok, it was very loud and hot inside, I was actually sweating while eating. Service was as good as it can be when you consider there is handful of ladies trying to server all the tables. Would give it a try again but not any time soon.
Between 3.5 with 4 stars, giving it a 4 because 3 is not a fair rating :)
WORLD CLASS
I’m not really surprised how many world class restaurants are out here. This place is always busy. First time eating real Chinese food.
I’m ordering duck because I never see it on the menu back home. The flavor of the duck is great I had so many of these duck spring rolls 😊
Would have like to try the Chinese broccoli but it was sold out. The service was also world class.
Top notch place here
Great variety of food. The food was great and tasty. The only reason I don't give them a 5 star is because the lady that was taking care of us had a bad attitude the whole time and was a bit frustrated when we were asking questions about the menu. I am not sure if it was because of the language barrier but it made us feel unconfortable. She never came to our table to ask if we needed more water and gave us a bad attitude when we wanted to split the check.
If you’re looking for somewhere cozy and quiet to enjoy a meal, this isn’t the place for you. HOWEVER… if you’re looking for delicious food that will have you humming, ooh-ing and aah-ing as you munch, then this IS the place. I had their dimsum mix which was a selection of pork spring rolls, vegetable spring rolls, fried shrimp wontons and juicy steamy dumplings. As a main course I tackled their half roasted peeking duck … and let me tell you, not a crumb was left. The soft, juicy texture of the duck breast paired with the crunchy skin, wrapped in a delicate pancake… it was a party in my mouth. Go here for good food. You’re packed in like sardines, sitting elbow to elbow with people you’ll probably never meet again but it is SO WORTH IT!!! The hustle and bustle of the servers, practically flinging dishes out of the kitchen, balancing them like trapeze acts, it’s truly an experience.
It was a busy dinner time, took some time to serve the dishes.
I ordered salt and pepper pork chops, Fermented bean curd spinach and a bowl of rice.
The pork chops tasted okay but a bit oily, if we can have Oil-absorbing paper it will be better.
Spinach was good, highly recommend if you like some good-taste green vegetables.
The amount was large so better inviting your friends.
The environment was not that good cause it was a bit dark inside and the smell was not that fresh.
Tasty dumpling soup. Beef noodle was a bit too greasy. Big portions. A little bit too expensive but considering the touristy location, it is not a suprise.
